Grade 7 and Grade 8 Art Class showcase the development of the skills and the passion of Grade 7 and Grade 8 Junior Archers at De La Salle Santiago Zobel. It is dedicated to these young and passionate learners, who takes courage in exploring the world of visual arts.
Grade 7 Art focuses mainly on art elements, design principles, techniques, compositional planning and aesthetic expression of art forms. It strengthens prior knowledge of and applied design skills while affirming and deepening further the understanding of several art principles and themes related to human art form and the goodness of God’s creations.
Meanwhile, Grade 8 Art focuses mainly on exercises for various multi-view and isometric drawings and conceptualization and development of a chosen project and creative construction of a prototype. Individually, the students will be given various exercises and activities that will enable them to refine design and color concepts, apply problem-solving in mechanical drawing, develop skills in multi-view and isometric drawings, construct a prototype, produce beautiful, expressive art pieces and present and discuss (market) the use and importance of their prototype in our daily life. It will also focus on exploratory and experiential activities in printmaking using variety of media and techniques by exploring and making use of new technology for printmaking such as computers and scanners.
